Wine joins beer and cider on grocery store shelves

Matthew Owczarz

Ontario has approved the sale of wine at select grocery stores across the province.

Previously, wine was mainly sold at LCBO and Wine Rack stores.  Major grocers like Loblaws, Metro and Sobeys among others can now sell wine as of Oct. 28, 2016.

Wine follows the launch of cider being sold in grocery stores back in June and beer last December.

Here is a google map I created of all the stores that sell beer, cider and wine(marked in red) and all the stores that sell beer and cider (marked in blue) in the GTA.
